Since the tracker has been up and running for more than 3 years now, I have decided to do some statistics on the recorded data.

After a week of being offline the site is online again. The server serving the site has been improved (new HW, new OS, new httpd, new PHP, etc...). This caused the problem, because the old Xoops engine turned out to be incompatible with new PHP. To solve this situation Xoops engine has been upgraded, and gallery module has been replaced by another one. The new gallery module is more reliable, and album mangement and image upload is much easier with it. Unfortunately the old albums could not be imported, but the images are available under http://fgfs.i-net.hu/downloads/old_albums/

New feature in Tracker: recorded flights can be loaded into Google Earth to display 3D flight tracks.

Forum access has been revoked from anonymous users because someone has used it to advertise pills.

This morning I've done some optimization on the flight-track display algorythm, so the problem of browser hang when there are too many points to display on a flight-track has been fixed.

Also I tuned the DB a bit, so response times should be shorter.

There is a new feature available on the site: Flight planning, Currently direct planning and planning via VORs and NDBs are possible, but I'm working on extending the features.

New links of aviation/flight training sites have been posted in the Web Links section.

Now it is possible for registered users to create sub-albums under 'FlightGear screenshots', and upload their own screenshots there.
